Finding the Best Real Estate Agent
There is no shortage of real estate agents, but that doesn’t mean that they are all the kind that you want to be working with. Finding the best agent can be frustrating, but here are some tips to recognize a good agent when you see one.
No matter how busy an agent is, they should never be hard to reach. If you cannot reach them, whether it is by phone, email, or even at their office, then chances are they are not a quality agent. When a real estate agent is too busy to help you buy or sell, their professionalism will show in their willingness to help and refer you to another agent. If you do not receive a call or email reply within 2 days, then that agent is most likely not organized enough to be worth your time, or they simply do not care.
If an agent is active on social media and other forms of online sites, this tends to show that they are an overall active agent. If they do not post regularly or keep their followers up to date on new listings, then they are not active in their real estate endeavors. An inactive social media can tell you multiple different things: 1. They do not prioritize spending time to update their followers on the local real estate market, or 2. They have gotten ahead of themselves and have too much going on to be able to adequately keep their media updated.
3. Appropriate Aggression
Real estate agents have to be competitive and aggressive when necessary, but also make sure to have the patience and compassion to work with their clients. It is extremely important to find an agent that is aggressive in making deals and getting you the home of your dreams, but also an agent that will spend countless hours trying to find you exactly what you are looking for.
